The project revisits the music box by removing its external housing case to reveal its mechanism. This is magnified by the use of three finishes which highlight its structure: copper, brass and polished nickel. The base is made of white or black marble. A light source, located at the front, allow to lighten the mechanism and project its shadow on the wall of the room. The shadow appears multiplied, revealing the movements normally almost imperceptible of the mechanism and giving a poetic dimension to the object.
